A Divine State of Mind

I had planned to go to the Divine Office, but I really needed to get my brakes fixed, so I thought I’d take my car in for service instead. They said, “No problem, we can do the work in one day. Would you like to wait?” So, I said, “Yes, where’s your waiting area?”
I flipped open my laptop, and emailed my Divine Office companions and I said, “I’m really sorry, I can’t be there today, but the spirit of the Divine Office is in this waiting room. I’m going to continue to work on my intentions here.”
I got an email back from one of our co-workers and immediately, I felt connected. My mind felt calm, just as if I were upstairs with everyone.
The spirit of the Divine Office is where you are and what you need to do for that day. You don’t have to be in a special place. You can continue to work, pray, and stay connected to your co-workers. We take what we absorb in our spiritual lives and take it into the world. We’ve found a way to take the spirit into where we need to be.
Once you’ve been introduced to this whole mindset, you can carry it with you anywhere!
